13 If one gives an answer before he hears,
it is his folly and shame.
14 A man’s spirit will endure sickness,
but a crushed spirit who can bear?
15 An intelligent heart acquires knowledge,
and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
16 A man’s gift makes room for him
and brings him before the great.
17 The one who states his case first seems right,
until the other comes and examines him.
Coping is something I’ve had to do a lot of lately. In this world today it seems that more and more people are taking the broad highway, not listening and taking up space that is not theirs. What I mean is that people seem to be dominating the space of others; in terms of physical space, “air” space, theological space and communication space. These spaces all take boundaries away from others if used wrongly.
Some examples of physical space boundaries are: driving in lanes on our roadways where some might cut you off; they seem to be not looking. Like in a parking lot when people put their cars in reverse and hit the gas without looking behind them, first. Or pulling out of parking lots in front of other drivers who hit the brakes with people driving but not looking. Touching a briefcase on your table at the library where you’re working, having to stare into your eyes while you look at them wondering, “what are you doing touching my briefcase and stopping at my table?” Or, how about being at the local YMCA and having ladies want the gazes of people they wander up to stand by, looking at themselves in the mirror, totally naked? Or wiping their hair dry with a towel for 20 minutes while walking around the locker room, looking for someone to give eye contact to them? This seems highly uncomfortable – exebitionism is on the rise, folks.
What I mean by “air” space is the talkers, they talk and talk and talk so loudly you can’t help but notice them. They seem to want to get noticed and talk overly loudly and for a long time in places where people are sitting quietly, waiting in line at a doctor’s office, or anywhere there is a public place for them to see and be seen. It is annoying while working in an office space and these air space intruders want to talk their heads off right when you want to talk to someone else on the phone or in person; they are interruptive in their demeanor. Have I been living in a cave all these years and don’t know what’s going on – or has this gotten worse?
Theological space is a good one to talk about, being that mostly Christians read this blog, I am assuming at least. They want to talk to you about all the wrongful teaching you do, and you have to speak out in incomprehensible “tongues” to be baptized in the spirit, or fall on the floor to allow the Spirit of God to “move” in you. I hate to offend others but this is just something I will never get used to nor believe.
The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a new-wave group, that I associate with Hillsong’s Church – the crazy wave of new age believers who are sucked into this broad highway of belief, unfortunately. They impose their beliefs on people rather than be like the Bereans, studying their bibles and really learning the way – of Christ, why he died and rose, and that we are all born in sin and need Jesus Christ desperately, to cleanse us, save us from being damned to hell, and in order that we may live for eternity with Him, through His Holy power. I’m rambling now, a little peeved at a Christian who is not listening to my comment about a video he posted… that’s another story and not appropriate for this post.
Communication space is something I’ve had problems with all my life; I am not heard, discounted, and made invisible when I’ve talked about anything. Constantly turned aside from, my opinions and methods of speech are too meek, or non-aggressive I believe. I have learned not to speak to people who I determine will not listen nor understand – why debate man who has no knowledge of God? Some may feel we have to correct someone’s beliefs, and that’s okay if they feel that way.
I feel led to write this blog awaiting for what God may bring my way and not imposition others with my beliefs. If they do not ask I do not bring it up.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.- Romans 12:17-18
After watching several “street preacher” videos, I am still convinced that people will come to the Lord if and when he chooses to reach them, and it’s not my duty to stir up an audience of mad people you try to convince of their sin. They usually do not understand and just want to argue and say they are right. It’s like arguing with mad dogs, and that does no good when you are used as a vessel to bring the Good News of Jesus’ saving grace to them. Only if they are ready to hear can they hear.
It only emboldens these aggressive people who aim to take my space in life; I think they are filled with satan or unclean spirits. Whatever you want to call them they are unclean, ungodly and not wanting anything to do with God’s wrath. These could also be the people that I write about in my new article today, where I talk about people who get voices directed remotely into their heads. I’m not joking – the technology has been around that I know for the past two or three decades that it’s been public. That explains why they are so hard to deal with; by abiding in the Father of lies they are not prone to accepting the gospel of Christ and that is why, I think now, that I have always wanted to talk when I was a small child, but had been severely oppressed while I grew up.
Being raised in an unChristian family, who called themselves “atheists”, it has been a hard road for me – not knowing why strange things happened to me all the time – why I had been treated poorly. I know a lot of you have probably had similar, bad experiences in life and I’m sorry for your painful lives. We can start each day giving God thanks, and thanking him, Jesus Christ, for our lives today.
Others may be living in lives of sin, knowledgeable of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and their Father who loves them, and may never be given the Holy Spirit to endwell within their hearts and minds.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; – Titus 2:11-13
It is a life to endure; knowing that Jesus is coming soon to bring us up in the air with him, His Bride.
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. – Ephesians 5:27
Let’s be without spot or wrinkle, prepared and ready to lead lives with the Blessed Hope.
