For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. – 1 Corinthians 12:12
Hello dear readers! I pray for all of you every day, but I’ve missed a few times in these past few months – I’m sorry, but I’ve prayed that I bring you something helpful, interesting, and supportive in sharing the Word of Christ.
Today I’m happy to say that I enjoyed the church service today. I went to a church in Bellevue, Washington, and was pleasantly surprised.
The church service was not filled with band-music as if I were sitting in a rock-concert. It was lovely music, with a piano, violin and songs sung by the worship team.
What a relief, I thought, as I looked around and saw that people were intently focused on what the pastor had to say. No theatrics here. He told a funny joke or two but the sermon was not abou his need for approval where pastors nowadays seem to want to portray a personality of themselves more than the message. I get tired of this.

With all those churches out there where I have shopped and been miserably unhappy (see my post from several weeks ago where I had to leave the “service” because the pastor was unprepared, and only wanted to feed his face for “LUNCH!”), I am happy to report that I will go back.
I pray you find good churches to attend. We all need to be in fellowship with one another, as we are all members of “the body of Christ”.
