This post is related to my last post where John MacArthur taught about how believers will be raptured out from this world and will not go through the tribulation. Some people have learned differently but in this video MacArthur teaches the pre-tribulation rapture theology as many pastors teach today. He can be seen in a short video explaining where the rapture is taught in the bible.
The word “rapture” comes from the Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, where harpazo means to snatch away or seize. We are snatched away into the air to meet Jesus Christ. The word rapture comes from the Latin translation of the Greek translation. Rapio in Latin means “caught up” in the air to meet Christ in 1 Thessalonians 4:17.
17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. – 1 Thessalonians 4:17.
Our Blessed Hope is Christ the Lord who will return to snatch away his believers so that they escape the terrible times to come. Believers will be brought back to the dwelling place in heaven that Jesus has prepared for us.
There are many dwelling places in my Father’s house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you. And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too. – John 14:2–3
Those that did not receive the love of the truth will not be saved. They will live in eternal punishment. Because of their willful unbelief they will fall under a deluding influence of evil and will face His divine judgment.
The Saints will never be under judgment and will not face the Day of Judgment which ends in unbeliever’s punishment. The Saints will live in the eternal presence of the Lord, and love Him forever.
