So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh: for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ~ Romans 8:12-14
Our culture is changing – for the worse.
Christians know that sexual fetishes and gender-bending dysphoria are not aligned with God’s Word.
He gave us knowledge of the beginning’s of mankind.
The bible tells us,
God created man and woman in His own image, male and female.
Genesis 1:27
He again tells us,
God created man in his own image, male and female, and gave them dominion over the fish of the sea, the fowl of the air, the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
Genesis 1:26-27
So I wanted to know more about what transvestite’s and their “fetishes” were about that I’ve been reading about on social media.
Fetishes may not be the only expression of gender-bending self-identifying for people but I thought I’d start with the “fetish” aspect to gain more insight into people who feel they must express these fetishes on the rest of society. Maybe I’ll write about other gender identifications and more descriptions at a later date.
An article I read online about mental health briefly outlines several “fetishes”, that are grouped under the heading, “Transvestic Fetisism”.
They are a group of sexual diagnoses that are called “paraphilias”, (noun) is defined as:
a type of mental disorder characterized by a preference for or obsession with unusual sexual practices, as pedophilia, sadomasochism, or exhibitionism.

Here is a list that helps describe the transvestic fetishism “emotional disorder”:
- exhibitionism
- regular fetishism
- frotteurism
- pedophilia
- sexual masochism
- sexual sadism
- voyeurism
You can find brief descriptions of this list at the page I found it on, here.
Also worthy of note, the article states,
While some of the paraphilias are disturbing, abusive and criminal (e.g., pedophilia), not all of them are bad things. Transvestic Fetishism (arousal tied to cross-dressing) is benign for all intents and purposes. It is largely practiced by heterosexual men in private settings.

There are some treatments, including medications, that can be used to treat some symptoms in some of the paraphilias patient population but paraphilias are thought to be enduring, and can wax and wane over time.
