Life’s Provisions Are From The Lord

Last week began a “survival” job for me where I began a job that is a long commute from my home but pays the bills.

It’s one of those times that I have to be grateful I was hired by a company just when I needed it. I am grateful for it and God answers prayers.

Until now I’ve been living on savings but wanting to move from my apartment and have wanted to move out for over a year. Neighbors are inconsiderate and even hostile so I want to move.

Because my new job is a permanent job I have the opportunity to sign a lease that a landlord will now offer instead of continuing work in Human Resources on a contract basis. Landlords won’t let a contract worker sign a lease unless it’s a private person who knows me already. That’s my guess.

So I’ve had to give up posting on my blog so that I can drive the hour and forty-five minutes it takes me to get to my new job. It’s a long drive back.

Also working nights on ten-hour shifts doing physical labor at an Amazon fulfillment center makes my body sore so I rest a lot. I’ve made it past the one-week mark.

I guess I can be happy I’ll again have income coming in.

I see it as a blessing because I know there are many people on LinkedIn that have been seeking jobs for many months, some for over a year. And that sucks.

Standing on my feet and packing boxes for shipping may not be luxurious, but working for God makes it worth it. It also keeps me active, so I get over 10,000 steps every day on FitBit, so that’s a perk I feel grateful for.
