Voter Confidence Eroded Due to Issues with Voting Machines

I wanted to share my thoughts on State Representative Jim Walsh’s recent post about a meeting he had with Washington Secretary of State, Steve Hobbs. They talked about voter integrity, and it seems like there are some concerns.

So, in our August Primary, they had to use a replacement server during the vote count. I’m not sure why that happened, and it feels a bit off. According to Hobbs, King County admitted they didn’t meet all the standards for contacting party organizations and keeping all the surveillance equipment running smoothly during the server hiccup.

Now, call me crazy but how is it that Democrat’s complain about voter integrity when they don’t win, but when Republicans don’t win and keeps questioning the integrity of voter machines, our voices are censored, like on X – and we are portrayed as conspiracy theorists by legacy propagandists that call themselves “journalists”?

It’s not a new issue; we’ve been dealing with problems in our voting machines for over a decade. Remember that mess in Ohio? Yeah, that was Dominion’s doing. And guess what? We still haven’t fixed these machines going crazy.

As we know, it’s criminal when you cast your vote and then see it change right in front of you. And what’s worse, it seems like there’s not much we can do about it. We can’t even sue for damages. Who’s got the time or money for that?

The idea of fixing things by voting-in new folks sounds great, but the system feels too rigged. Running a campaign costs a ton of money, and not everyone has the connections to pull it off successfully.

Voting used to feel like the way to make a change, but now it seems like the whole process is a criminal enterprise. The problems are piling up, and trying to find trustworthy people to elect feels like a joke.

What are your thoughts on this? It’s a tough situation, and I’m curious to hear what you think we should do.
